Tomorrow is a big day for Synergiums because we're running a presentation at Technoport to show the relevance of speech controlled services and to demo of what we can do. Given it's a first iteration of this kind of events we're a bit nervous and hopeful at the same time. The challenges we are tackling are to show our audience how to:
- dynamically manage the interaction between human users and machines
- make sense of what the human user needs by processing natural language without using keywords
- identify the user's needs and match them to existing online services
- contact relevant services and allow the human user to simply speak to activate those services in order to obtain content (e.g. finding a video and viewing it through a VoD service or identifying relevant content on a television electronic programming guide) or to execute actual transactions (e.g. buying tickets for a tourist attraction or booking a hotel room)
- record and statistically process the usage data to gain insights into how people actually use services
More tomorrow, keeping our fingers crossed :)
